GEA – REDOG Cooperation Agreement, 29 August 2014
A cooperation agreement was signed with the Swiss Dog Search Team REDOG, which consists of volunteers, on 29 August 2014 at İzmir AFAD Union Directorate.
REDOG President Romaine Kuonen and team leaders Hanspeter Burkart and Linda Hornisberger attended the signing ceremony.
The GEA – REDOG Cooperation Agreement covers the issues of joint action in a disaster that may occur anywhere in the world, transportation organization, information sharing, and in the countries with disaster risk creating common scenarios and conducting exercises.
REDOG, a member of the Swiss Red Cross and Swiss Alpine Rescue, operates in 12 regions of Switzerland with 650 members and around 400 dogs bred for different missions. It is also one of the 18 organizations in Kennel Club SKG, which provides dog training in 70 countries and has 66,000 members.
