After the biggest flood disaster of the last century in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Balkans as a result of heavy rains that lasted for a week, with the invitation of the Bosnian Civil Defense, the GEA assessment team of 3 people set out at 6.30 in the morning and reached the region.
In line with the information received from the assessment team, preparations continue for a team that will set out to reach the region with humanitarian aid and rescue materials tomorrow.The rains that started on May 13, 2014 caused very large areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia to be flooded, causing hundreds of people living in 14 cities to leave their homes.
While many main roads and railways providing access to cities were flooded, 350,000 people were deprived of electricity and water resources. It is reported that more than 100,000 people were affected by floods and many landslides.
