20-23 May, 2014
After the biggest flood of the century in the Balkans, upon the invitation of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Civil Defense, a humanitarian aid and assessment team of 7 people reached the region on May 20, 2014.
The GEA Team conducted reconnaissance flights with the Bosnian Civil Defense teams and conducted a field survey. The GEA Team also carried out studies on humanitarian aid planning and the supply of needed materials.
With humanitarian and rescue supplies, the 7-person GEA team carried out humanitarian work in the Olovo region and Recica village, and distributed drinking water and chlorine tablets in the Ljesnica and Zepce regions.
The GEA Team left the region on May 23 to continue their work on the supply of humanitarian aid materials needed in the region.
Thank you to all GEA friends who assisted during Operation Flood and with the supply of humanitarian aid materials.
