World Humanitarian Summit

GEA Search and Rescue Group attended the first World Humanitarian Summit  in history.

World Humanitarian Summit, organized for the first time in history within the framework of the initiative of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, was held in Istanbul on 23-24 May 2016. The main venues of the summit were Istanbul Congress Center and Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center.

Today, the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance is growing rapidly, while the humanitarian aid system is obliged to develop more effective methods of intervention and to use existing resources in the most efficient way.
