The 78th GEA Search and Rescue Exercise took place in Istanbul between 04-05 February with the participation of 125 GEA volunteers.
National and international operations team members, humanitarian aid team and Genc GEA (Young GEA) from different provinces took part in the drill.
On the first day of the drill that started with the homage to all our martyrs consisting of Soldiers, Police and Citizens and the National Anthem, theoretical training on mission, vision, values and sensibilities were held at the GEA Training Center in Altunizade.
After 4:00 pm, it continued with the duties and field works given to 5 different teams all night in the debris area in Çavuşbası.
Debris support, crushing, searching with electronic devices, carrying survivors with ropes, equipment use training and operations were carried out.
On February 05, Sunday afternoon, after the gathering of the main campsite and logistical materials, a feedback meeting was held at the GEA Training Center in Altunizade and the camp was completed.
