84th GEA Search and Rescue Exercise – Istanbul

84th GEA Drill Held in Istanbul

The 84th GEA Exercise was held in Istanbul on July 28-29 with the participation of 61 people from the national and international team. Since 2015, GEA continues its preparations as part of the Light Search and Rescue Teams Working Group, which was established under the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).GEA was chosen as the pilot team for INSARAG’s Light Search and Rescue Team Classification Exercise, which will be held for the first time in the world in 2019.
GEA is preparing for a drill scheduled for next year in October with 11 different teams, 130 international operation members from Turkey.
