GEA SOMALI EVALUATION AND HUMANITARIAN AID REPORT
Following the meetings held with the NGOs in Somaliaand Kenya, GEA Search & Rescue Team was invited by Murdo (www.murdoorg.com) and Horn Relief, relief agencies to perform activities within the region. Upon this invitation, a survey team visitedMogadishu, capital city ofSomalia, for evaluation purposes between October 2-6, 2011.
GEA Search & Rescue Team determined a requirements list following the examinations made within the region.
Determined materials were sent by Turkish Prime Ministry, Department of Disaster and Emergency Management, via a vessel carrying relief materials, to be delivered toSomalia.
Relief materials will be distributed by GEA Search & Rescue Group inMogadishu,Somaliaduring Muslim Feast of Sacrifice.
