Folk songs shed light on many Aşık Veysel, who was himself visually impaired.
GEA Bornova Team organized Aşık Veysel’s commemoration and cornea donation night with the voluntary participation of Korneanın Sesi music group. The event took place in Bornova Büyük Park Ayfer Feray Open Air Theater.
410 people attended the night, where volunteerism and unity were felt strongly. At the night, where the documentary and poems of Anatolia’s minstrel Aşık Veysel took place, Korneanın Sesi music group took the stage with Aşık Veysel’s folk songs. In this meaningful night, 35 people showed that they wanted to be a light for many Veysels by donating cornea.
