Exhibition of Touching History – World Disabled Day

Exhibition of Touching History has been opened on World Disabled Day, 3th December.

The ‘Touching History’ traveling exhibition, which contains reproductions of archaeological artifacts in various museums around the world, met with 150 students and our visually impaired brothers and sisters at Türkan Sabancı School for the Visually Impaired on 3 December World Disabled Day.

Our visually disabled citizens were able to touch history with the exhibition. Special audio recordings prepared for the descriptions of all the replicas were listened by the visitors of the exhibition.

GEA Volunteers accompanied our art-loving little brothers and sisters while listening to the recordings during the Touching History exhibition. Art-lover visitors spent long periods at the replicas and had the opportunity to feel the pieces they could not touch in museums.
Visually impaired people in Turkey and various countries around the world will continue to visit the Exhibition of Touching History.

Note: All replicas in the exhibition were created by GEA Volunteers.
