GEA Bursa team continues to reach village schools!
The last campaign for schools in the mountain villages of Bursa, launched by the GEA Bursa team with the motto “Their School Our Future”, carried out in the Harmandemirci Village of Keles.
After a month of preparations, students and parents came together at the Abdullah Akça Elementary School on January 18.
The “Art of Raising Happy Kids” training, enriched with small sketches for parents, was held. Oral and Dental Health Training was held simultaneously with the students in another hall. After the training, dental examinations of the children were carried out and toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed.
A library was set up for three classes at the school, 554 books and stationery were donated to the school. Curtain rails were installed for the classrooms and the curtains of the school were renewed. Electrical malfunctions and lighting problems were fixed.
After the event, which lasted about 5 hours with the warm hospitality of the villagers, the school principal, Mustafa Bulut, thanked the GEA Team and said “We felt that we were not alone. Your voluntarism set an example for everyone.”
On behalf of the GEA Team, the President of Bursa Branch Kemal Karadayı said “We would like to thank and wholeheartedly congratulate all our supporters and volunteers who contributed to this campaign. We continue these activities that we have been carrying out for 8 years and we will continue to act with the same motto in many more village schools.”
