Touching History Exhibition – Boğaziçi University

GEA is at Bogazici University Unimpeded Access Festival
with Touching History Mobile Museum

14-15 October 2016, GEA volunteers took part at the Unimpeded Access Festival organized by Boğaziçi University Visually Impaired Technology and Education Laboratory GETEM, with their Touching History Exhibition. The people who visited the exhibition, which was visited by about 200 people, had the opportunity to touch the history by touching the works while they were informed about civilizations.

In the statement of one of the participants, “There was no obstacle to touch the history at the GEA stand”.

GEA Volunteer and Touch of History Exhibition Manager Zeynep ER said: “All the pieces in the exhibition are produced by our GEA volunteers. Those who want to visit the exhibition, take part in the production of the pieces and in the preparations for the exhibition, and support us can contact us.”

About Touching History;

Touching History Exhibition is an exhibition for our visually impaired citizens, consisting of reproductions of historical artifacts in various museums of the world and where people come into contact with history. Works belonging to Anatolian, Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Far Eastern civilizations are exhibited in various associations, visually impaired schools and libraries, universities and exhibition halls and aimed to reach more people.

Touching History Exhibition aims to raise the sensitivity and awareness of our historical and cultural heritage to more people in order to preserve cultural heritage and transfer it to the future.
